What is the process of having my electrical installation tested
The initial stage is discussing and planning access to the property at a time that limits disruption to your business. Your electrical installation will be visually inspected and manually tested from the incoming power supply to the end usage outlets/ equipment using our qualified testing engineers and top of the range test equipment. The result of the visual inspection and testing is an Electrical Installation Condition Report will be produced which will identify any safety concerns or deviations from the current electrical wiring regulations BS 7671 18th Edition.
What happens if safety issues are identified during the electrical testing process
There are 3 classifications that are used to identify the severity of an issue, each classification has its own required response.
– Classification 1, immediate isolation of the equipment. Equipment cannot be reenergised until the safety concern identified is rectified due to risk of harm to person or property
– Classification 2, planned repair work must be scheduled with urgency
– classification 3, recommendation that the work should be carried out
What are the costs of an EICR
The costs are dependent on your needs. We can plan contracts ‘out of hours’ on evenings, nights or weekends to reduce downtime and disturbance to your business, this comes at a premium rate, due to unsociable working hours.
Depending on the information/ documentation you can provide us with, such as O.E.M manuals and previous Electrical condition reports, we can tailor the costs, as the more information provided the less time it takes to undertake the testing and inspection process.

What is the warranty period
Installation work comes with a 1-year guarantee from us. However, it’s important to note that if clients provide their own materials/equipment for installation, our warranty period covers only the items we have purchased within the project
